Langkawi
Langkawi is the most northern island on the west coast of Malaysia. It is a perfect place for sightseeing and relaxing at the same time with the beautiful clear blue waters and the many places to enjoy the beach.

Island hopping
Island hopping is a really nice way to discover the little islands around Langkawi. We booked a tour through our hostel which us only costed 40 ringgit for a 4 hour tour around 4 spots. We saw different beautiful and cute little islands, we made a stop at Dayang Bunting Marble geoforest park to swim in a lake and have a drink, we saw a lot of sea eagles at another island and our final stop was at a little island where we could have a nice time at the beach and cool down in the ocean. Island hopping is absolutely worth your money for a fun morning or afternoon and where you can cool down from the heat!
7 wells waterfall
Rent a scooter and go on an adventure. The 7 wells waterfall is a really nice place for a hike to the top first. It can be a bit tricky to go all the way to the top but that is mostly because of the heat, but you will be rewarded on top with a really beautiful view. When you go back down you can stop at two places. The 7 wells puddles where you can dip yourself in the water, enjoy the view and slide down a natural waterslide and you can go to the waterfall stop. Just so you know the waterfall is not always that spectacular because there isn't always that much water. But it can definitely be a nice break in your hike up or down. Let me know when you tried out the waterslide!

Cable car Langkawi
A really nice thing to do on Langkawi is to go to the top of a mountain with the cable car. You will have amazing views over the whole island and you can see one of the oldest unesco protected nature reserves of South East Asia. When you are at the top you can walk the sky bridge which give you a nice view of the unesco park and the ocean. You can enjoy some food here and just walk around for a while. We spend around 2 till 3 hours in total here and it was definitely worth visiting this place. It is nice to combine it with the 7 wells waterfall. Just rent a scooter and go around the island.

The price for going with the cable car is 85 ringgit.
Where to eat
There are a few nice places for food. For breakfast you should definitely go to The Loaf bakery. They have different options from pastries to full on breakfast varieties. For lunch or dinner you can go to Islandish for some really good local food or to Yellow beach cafe at Pantai Cenang for more western food. You can also go to Kalut cafe and bar where you can order some food and enjoy the fireshow at the same time.

One Love club
The club that is just around the corner of Bed Attitude hostel. It has free entrance and the nice thing is that most of the people from the hostel are also going to this club. The music is a mix of Latin, 90's, 00's and 10's with some rap and R&B in the mix but overall really nice. It can be very crowded so then it would be hard to dance or walk around but overall this club has a nice vibe and is a 1 minute walk from the hostel. Definitely worth to check it out if you like to go to a party. The price for a beer was 15 ringgit so that is around €3,00.
Bed Attitude
One of the nicest hostels where I stayed was Bed Attitude hostel in Langkawi. In case you like a good night sleep then this is not your place but otherwise you will enjoy this place a lot! It is in a nice area close to the beach and with multiple shops, bars and restaurants around. Every evening every one is in the social area of the hostel playing pool, darts, card games or just socializing. Sometimes when you are lucky they have an open mic where you can do karaoke and for every song you sing you get a free beer, loved this! The whole hostel is getting cleaned every single day from top to bottom and the rooms are really nice and cool with comfy beds. They have really big lockers for not only your valuables but your whole luggage and the whole vibe in the hostel is relaxt and easy going. It is a nice place to meet more people when you are traveling alone.
You can also rent a scooter, book different tours or book your ferry ticket back to the mainland or Thailand at the hostel. They love to help.
