Kuala Lumpur

The capital city of Malaysia has many beauties and fun places to go to. Choose between a fancy stay in hotel or a fancy hostel, depending on your budget you can actually stay in different cute and nice places. Enjoy the city and try to walk as much as you can to not miss any beautiful area this city has to offer.

Petronas Twin Towers

You can't miss them and it is definitely worth to visit. The Petronas Twin Towers are 88 levels tall this is around 450 meters high and you can do a nice tour through it. This will cost you around €20,00 but you will go all the way to the top and you go to the bridge that is connecting the twin towers. The Petronas Twin Towers are the highest twin skyscrapers in the world and are beautiful to look at. In the night they might be even more beautiful because they have soft lightning all over the towers. Just have a look when you are in the neighborhood, you won't be dissapointed!

Shopping spree

Alright the title is giving away that Kuala Lumpur is perfect for some shopping, expensive brands or just some local clothes or souvenirs, it is all possible in KL. But what is also nice is that you can eat really good local food in all the shopping malls that isn't expensive at all. So if you are craving for food or just want to try different dishes go into a shopping mall and spoil yourself with amazing varieties of different asian food.

Also really nice is just to wander around different areas and see the different nationalities and cultures that live in this city. Every neighborhood has their own culture and architecture that you can enjoy. Happy wandering!

Vertigo rooftop bar

You want to see the city from above and enjoy some social time with some friends? Go to Vertigo rooftop bar at the Banyan Tree hotel and enjoy the city view from 240 meters high. All you have to do is order one drink and you can stay as long as you want to. It is a beautiful spot for watching the sunset and seeing some of the most popular buildings in Kuala Lumpur like the Petronas Twin Towers. And even beter you don't have to pay and expensive entrance fee like some of the other towers in the area. So totally worth it to check it out.

Batu Cave

One of the biggest sightseeing things in Kuala Lumpur is the Batu Cave. The people love the most here are the really colorful stairs that is bringing you to the cave. It is a real photo spot area. But after a small hike up you arrive at the cave and it has really something grand. The Batu Cave is officially a temple so make sure you are properly dressed, but it is for free to go up and get in the cave. In the middle and at the end of the cave you will find two Indian/Hindu temples which are really colorful as well. Watch out for the monkeys though because they would love to steal your stuff and it will be hard to get that back. You have to take a grab or a bus to get to the caves but that isn't expensive and totally worth the drive and enjoy the beautiful views.

Mingle in Chinatown

Want a really social hostel then go to Mingle in Chinatown. Mingle has two hostels in Kuala Lumpur but I really loved the one in Chinatown. It is of course in Chinatown where there are many places for good food, they have really comfy beds and the dorms are not extremely crowded so more then enough space for your stuff. They also have a rooftop that is a really nice social area with a small hot tub (it's cold though) and enough benches and tables to play (drinking) games and to just hang out and relax. The Wifi is also great there!

It is between €5,00 and €6,00 per night so really good value for your money.
