Koh Phi Phi
The party island of the west coast of Thailand is definitely Koh Phi Phi. It is a beautiful island but most people sleep all day to party all night. There are many cute little shops, a lot of options for tattoos, massages and nail studios. Besides that Phi Phi is know as a party island it is also really cozy and the beaches are nice to relax.
Party
Phi Phi is one of the most well known party islands of Thailand and there are many good places to have a great party. Runtee beach is your place to be if you are a party animal. If you like a pool party go to ibiza pool party and enjoy some amazing music. Are you more into a beach party and many different genres in music then you definitely have to go to freedom bar. This is also a nice place for watching the fire show before the party will start there. If you are more into the latin music you go to slinky bar. Here you can also ride a mechanic bull to win a free bucket of alcohol.

If you would like to start your party night a little slower go to Carlitos beach bar for some drinks during an amazing fire show and some good music. From here it is a five minute walk to the other side where all the parties are and it is a nice way to start your party night. Another nice place is Kong Siam bar where they have live music every single night and you can give them your favorite songs to sing. They also ask people to sing with them so it is a chill and nice environment where you can also do some karaoke if you are up for it. Just check it out to have a good night with live music.
View point
One of the nice things to do on the island is to go to the view point of Phi Phi islands. There are three view points and for the first two view points you have to walk some stairs for around 10 minutes. For these two view points you pay 30 bath and you have already a stunning view over the island and it is amazing for sunrise and sunset watching. If you are going to view point three you have to walk a little longer around 10 more minutes up but it is totally worth it. I think view point three is the most beautiful view point which is not really crowded and you have the highest view over the island. You have to pay 20 bath to access view point three but it is a nice place to enjoy a drink and get rewarded with the view.
Snorkeling/boat trip
One of the must do's at Phi Phi island is a snorkeling/boat trip. We did a afternoon trip that started at 14.00h. Our first stop was at monkey beach where we of course saw some monkeys and we could swim for a moment. After that we went to our first snorkeling spot where you can see different fishes, coral and if you are lucky a baby shark. After that we went to a spot with really green blue water where all the boats came together and everyone was swimming and jumping from the boats. After that is was time to go to the famous Maya bay which was closed for many years but opened again this year (2023) and where the movie The Beach was recorded with Leonardo DiCaprio. This beach is really beautiful with white sand and clear blue water. After a hour spending at the beach we went snorkeling on the other side of Maya bay where we were looking for turtles. After the snorkeling we went to a nice spot on the ocean to watch the sunset and from there we went to our last spot to swim with plankton. They can shine really bright if you are lucky, but if you want to make sure that you will see them just jump in the water and start swimming, they will light up because of the movement of the water. We paid 450 bath per person for the tour which was included water and they had some fruit, but not enough to not be hungry so bring a snack. Also the fee for Maya bay is not included which is 400 bath per person. Be aware of that before you book a tour somewhere.
Food spots
Phi Phi islands have amazing places for food so I just gonna name a few that I really liked!

Breakfast is a must at Patcharee Bakery which has an insane big menu for all the breakfast lovers! The food is really good and after a party or before snorkeling you need a good breakfast to start your day.

For lunch and dinner there are a few nice places like Chaokoh Restaurant, it is a bit pricey compared to other options but has a beautiful view over the ocean and the pier. They also are able to make you a great curry without any spicy ingredients and they add extra veggies for you without any extra costs. Also Good Time cafe is great. They have very good pasta's but also local and other options with a comfy cafe vibe this is a nice place to start your evening with. If you want a local place with local prices you can go to October resto but be aware when they say they can make your food not spicy it is still very spicy so you need to like spicy food for this one!
Sweed Dee Hostel
It is almost not possible to stay low budget at Phi Phi islands so be prepared for that but my stay at Sweed Dee was pretty good. It is close to the party area but just far away enough so you can sleep at night if you want to. The hostel is pretty basic but they have a good shower and airconditioning that is working the whole day (this is not the standard on the islands). They clean the room/bathroom every day so they also make your bed sand free again every single day! The price per night is €13,00 which is one of the cheapest options on the island.
