Koh Lipe
My first island of Thailand and definitely worth a visit. A beautiful small island with white beaches and clear blue water. Perfect place for snorkeling or diving and from the Main Street you can walk around to every side of the island in less then 10 minutes.
What else to do on Koh lipe?
You can't do many activities at Koh Lipe but it is the perfect island for snorkeling and diving. Besides that you have three different beaches you can go to, Sunset, Sunrise and Pattaya beach. Sunrise and Pattaya are a lot more lively and they both have many restaurants and bars where you can enjoy a cold drink. Sunset beach is really quiet but you have the best view there for the sunset. Every evening they have on different beaches and at different bars fire shows you can enjoy and if you are up for a nice time at the bar go to passion bar for a nice drink and some latin music. Overall Koh lipe is the perfect getaway island to relax and have fun at the same time.
Snorkeling
One of the must do things on this island well let's say around this island is diving or snorkeling. You can choose between a half or full day trip with different stops but make sure Jabang stop is definitely in there. We did the full day trip with seven stops. 4 snorkeling spots with many colorful fish and coral and Jabang is a snorkeling spot with a pinnacle of 16 meters deep with many different and colorful corals. Besides the snorkeling trip we went to 3 different beaches, one was monkey beach were we had lunch and the other two were small beaches where you could enjoy the beautiful view over the ocean and other small islands. A full day trip is around 700 bath and is including pick up from your hostel, lunch and all the snorkeling equipment. definitely worth your money and your time.
Food places
There are so many good places for good food but I will highlight some amazing places I had breakfast, lunch and dinner.
For breakfast my favorite spot was Bloom cafe with so many different options! It tasted amazing and for good prices. Another possibility is Elephant restaurant. They have amazing breakfast as well but is a bit more pricey compared to Bloom cafe.
For lunch and dinner you can go to the same places and I just gonna list a few. For local food go to Papaya mom, really good and not expensive at all. You can also go to Ja Yao where they have an amazing yellow curry you definitely have to try. Mumbai restaurant is really nice for different kind of curries or Indian food.
Nest hostel
One of the most kindest places I stayed during my travels. Nest hostel is located just 40 meters from walking street which is the Main Street on the island. The women behind the reception are helpful and generous and gave us so much free fruit, cookies and candy. Besides that you get free coffee, tea and water which is perfect for staying hydrated the whole day. The beds are comfortable and you have an extra big shelf in your capsule for your stuff. More then enough bathrooms so you never have to wait and them clean them from top to bottom every single day. You can also arrange your snorkeling or diving trip from there and then the company will pick you up from your hostel and bring you to the boat for a full day trip around different islands and snorkeling spots. Just ask the women at the reception desk and they will help you.
