Koh Lanta
Koh Lanta is a nice island close to the mainland of Thailand on the west coast. Koh Lanta is reachable from different places and is in between Koh lipe and Phi Phi islands. On Koh Lanta there are no grab services so if you want to go around this beautiful island, rent a scooter because that will save you a lot of money!

What to do at Koh Lanta?
There are actually a few nice things to do at Koh Lanta. You can go to the national park all the way in the south of the island. There you can do an one hour walk through the park and after that you can take a refreshing dive in the ocean and enjoy some beach time at one of the most beautiful beaches of Koh Lanta. A nice thing to do as well is to rent a scooter for a day and drive around the whole island. It is pretty easy to navigate on this island and you can go to a view point and to the other side of the island, which I think is more beautiful then the Main Street where the hostels are. Stop at different beaches, cross the bridge to go to another island and see different landscapes while driving around. Sunset watching is definitely a must do when you are staying on Koh Lanta, the sunsets are some kind of magical and every night there is a party going on at a different beach, check one out if you have time to enjoy a beach party a la island life. Otherwise Koh Lanta is also perfect for relaxing and tanning at the beach.
Hub of joys and Aha cozy Lanta hostels
There are two amazing places to stay at Koh Lanta if you are into hostels of course. The first one is Hub of joys hostel which is closer to the pier has an amazing good breakfast included in the price and is a two minute walk to the beach. There are some nice places for food and drinks in the area and you can rent a scooter from the hostel. The beds are okay but nog great, a bit hard but that is kind of normal in Thailand but it is a nice social hostel to meet other people. The price per night is 252 bath which is around €7,00.

Another great option is Aha Cozy Lanta Hostel which is all the way in the south of the island close to the national park. Also here breakfast is included with your stay and has a bit more of a resort style. The beds are really comfy here so if you want some comfort this is definitely your place. You can rent a scooter just across the street and it is a 3 min walk to the beach where there are also some places for food and drinks. The hostel can be social but is a bit more private so in case you would like to meet people the other hostel is more your place to be. Per night you pay around €9,00.
