Cameron Highlands
Ready for some nature and some chilly nights then the Cameron Highlands are your place to be. The town Tanah Rata is surrounded by jungle and forests and it is so green everywhere. Enjoy a good hike and for all the snake lovers, this is definitely your place to be because you will definitely find them here if you go for a hike on your own.
What to do in the area
So what is there actually to do in Cameron Highlands? Let's start with the fact you can do many different trails to discover the nature that is surrounding the town. Be careful though some of the trails are a bit steep or dangerous. Besides all the different hikes you can go to the tea plantation, the strawberry farm, the butterfly farm or visit the Robinson waterfall. So I would recommend to have two full days here and enjoy all the beauty Cameron Highlands has to offer. If you only have one full day then go for the hike for trail 10 up and trail 6 down, it is a bit steep but it takes you around 4 hours and you will finish your hike at the tea plantation. Hitchhike back from there to Tanah Rata and you have afternoon left to spent it on any of the other things.
Sri Brinchang
Cameron Highlands has many places for good food and many options between Indian, local, western, Asian and many more dishes.
But now for all the Indian food lovers, the best place to go to is Sri Brinchang. The locals will tell you it is a bit more expensive compared to other places but lets be honest I paid around 35 ringgit which is around €7,00. So for a good, complete and filling meal this is not expensive.

Enjoy many different Indian dishes, mix and match or share it with friends. One thing for sure it is always crowded there but they will also always make space for you to have dinner there.
Traveller Bunker Hostel
Want to go to a social hostel and meet a lot of like minded people? Definitely go to Traveller Bunker Hostel. They have social events every single night around 20h, they are close to the city centre and to the Jungle Bar where most people go to for a drink in the evening and they have a hike every single day in the morning that starts at 9 in the morning. Besides that this is a nice social hostel, the capsules are very clean and comfortable, there is enough space to store your luggage and every capsule has its own mini fan to cool you down during the night. The room has an aircon but as soon as you close your curtains it becomes a bit warmer inside. You can choose between mixed dorms or female dorms and they are fully booked pretty quickly so don't wait to long!
