Octave rooftop bar

Every big city has skyscrapers with the most amazing view. Bangkok is nothing different and a really nice rooftop bar is Octave. You can enter the rooftop bar for free and you don't have to make a reservation. All they want is that you order a minimum of one drink each and it is up to you how expensive you make it. The view from the top is amazing and kind of magical with all the lights. Just enjoy a good night with friends, good music and a nice view.

Khao San Road

Khao san road is the place to be when it comes to the tourists. Here you can get massages, tattoos, souvenirs and it is the perfect place for food and drinks. There are several places for backpackers to stay at Khao san road and it is a great area to meet other backpackers and tourists. In the evening they have night markets and some clubs will open. During the day the street is a bit more quit but that can definitely have it's charms as well.

Up2U Tattoo shop

For the tattoo lovers, Up2U tattoo shop is located at Khao san road. They have machine and traditional bamboo tattooing options and are amazing when it comes to fine line tattoos. When you go there they draw your tattoo and if you are lucky then can tattoo you in the next 30 minutes after. The prices are great too! For my small tattoo on my finger I paid €25,00 and my friend paid for three tattoos €100,00. They are very kind and really good in there job. So if you are looking for a good and trust worthy tattoo place you now know where to go.

Co van Kessel bike tour

First time in Bangkok or your third time? That really doesn't matter because Co van Kessel bike tours brings your around chinatown and the area where all the locals live. It is not just another touristic spots kind of tour but here you will see how the locals live, how they raise their children and where they go to school. It is a nice way to get around Bangkok and it was definitely a highlight of my time in Bangkok. You can choose between a few tours but this really depends on the heat outside. We took the 3 hours tour which was including water, a soft drink, fruit and a small snack. When you decide to take the 5 hours tour you will also go on a boat for 2 hours and get a lunch.

Don't you worry, the founder was Dutch but all the tour guides are locals so they speak English. See the city through the eyes of the locals and get mesmerized.
